The Gaddafi National Mosque, located on Old Kampala Hill, is Uganda’s largest mosque and a prominent landmark in East Africa. Gifted by the late Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi, it features grand Islamic architecture, a large golden dome, and a towering minaret offering panoramic city views. The mosque serves both as a place of worship for over 15,000 people and as the headquarters of the Uganda Muslim Supreme Council (UMSC).
