KABAKA'S LAKE
Kabaka's Lake, a significant historical landmark in Kampala, Uganda, is a testament to the vision and ambition of Kabaka Mwanga II of Buganda. Commissioned in the late 1880s, it was initially intended to serve as an escape route and a connection to Lake Victoria for the Kabaka, as well as a recreational and spiritual space. While its original purpose was cut short due to colonial interference and internal conflicts, the lake remains a remarkable man-made wonder and a popular destination for tourists and history enthusiasts.
