The Embassy of the Netherlands is located in Kampala, at DFCU Towers on Kyadondo Road in the Central Division. Headed by Ambassador Frederieke Quispel since July 2024, the embassy provides a wide range of services including visa processing, passport issuance, nationality matters, and document legalization. It also plays a key role in development cooperation, focusing on sectors such as agriculture, justice, climate change, and youth employment. The embassy operates on weekdays and supports both Dutch nationals in Uganda and Ugandans seeking to travel or engage with the Netherlands.

Visa & Travel Documentation
Schengen visa applications for short stays (up to 90 days) processed via VFS Global Kampala Reddit +4 VFS Global +4 Netherlands Worldwide +4 For MVV long-stay (residence visa entry sticker), applications are accepted at the embassy only when indicated by the IND decision letter—appointments required via embassy
Passport, Identity & Other Civil Services
Dutch nationals can apply for or renew Dutch passports and identity cards at the embassy Netherlands Worldwide +1 Netherlands Worldwide +1 Appointments and document checklists are provided online, with legalizations or translations handled through IND procedures as needed. After submission, collections are allowed any weekday (14:00–15:00) without prior appointment
Residency & Civil Status Documents
Certificate of residence, certificate of marital status, naturalisation services, and emergency travel permits are offered—usually requiring advance appointment via email or embassy online request form
