Etihad Airways' presence in Uganda was a relatively short but impactful chapter in the country's aviation history. Initially, the airline saw Uganda as a promising market, launching flights to Entebbe in May 2015, aiming to connect travelers to East Africa's growing business and tourism sectors. 

However, after a few years, Etihad decided to suspend its Entebbe operations, citing a commercial assessment of the route's performance. The decision, effective March 25, 2018, left some travelers seeking alternative arrangements, but Etihad offered support for those with existing bookings.
