Kisingiri House, located along the "Royal Mile" in Mengo, Kampala, is a historic landmark with strong ties to the Buganda Kingdom. Built in 1896 by European masons Miller and Stanley, it was initially the residence of Zakaria Kizito Kisingiri, one of the three Regents to the young Kabaka Daudi Chwa. Later, it became a sanctuary for Stanley Kisingiri upon his return from exile, and even housed Princess Beatrice Mugale, sister to Kabaka Edward Muteesa II. The house is known for its unique architecture, featuring 70 rooms spread across three floors, and a large compound.
